Hanuman
Profile:
A Berlin band, formed by Murphy Blend organist Wolf-Rüdiger Uhlig in May 1971 at a festival in Munich, along with a trio of jazz and blues musicians. That trio of musicians later split-off and formed Lied Des Teufels whilst Uhlig got together a new band that existed through to 1974 (but released no further records) including drummer Butze Fischer before he joined Missus Beastly.

Part of a strange legacy of bands, these were previously known as Hanuman, who were in turn ex-Murphy Blend, changing name after the original leader Wolf-Rüdiger Uhlig left. They named themselves after the closing track on the Hanuman album.
